About Me

Hi! I'm Biao Yi, a Ph.D. student from AI4GC Lab at Zhejiang University, advised by Shengyu Zhang.

My research focuses on GUI agents under edge–cloud collaboration: enabling lightweight on-device models to handle routine UI interactions while invoking stronger cloud models only when necessary, so that agents remain responsive and cost-efficient in real-world deployment. To make this practical, I also work on speculative decoding and other inference-acceleration techniques that close the latency gap between edge and cloud.

Feel free to reach out for collaborations on GUI agents, edge–cloud systems, or efficient LLM inference.

Research Directions

  • GUI Agent — Building agents that perceive, ground, and act on real graphical interfaces across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Edge–Cloud Cooperation — Designing scheduling and offloading strategies that let on-device agents decide when to query stronger cloud models under latency and cost budgets.
  • Speculative Decoding — Accelerating LLM and agent inference with draft-and-verify schemes tailored to interactive, latency-sensitive workloads.
